One of My Favorite Heroes
Hey little buddies!
I love the wisdom of old Benjamin Franklin. He’s one of my favorite heroes. There’s a whole chapter about him in For You They Signed. Franklin talked about a lot of important things with such wisdom! Here are some things he said.
About planning: “By failing to prepare, you are preparing to fail.
About criticizing others: “Any fool can criticize, condemn and complain – and most fools do.”
About being careful with our words: “Remember not only to say the right thing in the right place, but far more difficult still, to leave unsaid the wrong thing at the tempting moment.” Hoo boy, there’s a tough one!
About taking responsibility: “He that is good for making excuses is seldom good for anything else.”
I encourage you to read about Franklin. He got more good things done in his long lifetime than five average men. Diligence, wisdom and productivity marked his life.
